Timber loves to go on family trips by car.
The dog wants to be part of our lives and we would actually like to have the dog with us everywhere. Taking a dog on a road trip is much calmer if you consider a few things beforehand. We all know how stressful planning a family trip can be. Everyone has their needs, pack lists and desires. On the day of departure, we are busy packing the car, getting the children dressed, watering the plants and we can’t forget about the extra equipment… But we sometimes forget about paying attention to our dog’s needs. Our children are able to express clearly what they need. Dogs let us know too, but they are often misunderstood.
This is how I manage a family trip with Timber.
I like to go for a walk with my dog right in the morning before everyone gets up. Then I have a bit of time to sort out my thoughts and the dog can take care of his needs. We experienced Timber is more balanced on the road when he had some exercise before… and me too 😄
Enjoy your pet.
