Our cat Pebbles is kind, honest, clear-headed, loving and cuddly. She is always there when you need someone nearby. She will always come if you call her. Perhaps it’s because of her size but cuddles with children seem to be her favorite. Under one condition – friendly interaction only.
Respectful interaction with small animals is a great social enrichment for children and takes time to develop and understand.
Pebbles is a very clear and fair teacher for our children. She is the smallest creature in our house and only tolerates loving and friendly interaction with humans. As soon as you get stressed or try to annoy her, she walks away. She has a low frustration tolerance and is therefore a wonderful teacher for our children. To connect with Pebbles, they must display their best social behavior.
