I have been working as an educator for 19 years, supporting children and young people through various stages of their development. My own story, however, began much earlier—on a small farm where I grew up surrounded by animals. From an early age, animals were a central part of my everyday life. Our bond with our farm animals was deep, almost sacred. These early experiences shaped my emotional world and were essential in forming my personality.

The connection between children and animals is something truly special. Animals offer non-judgmental companionship, emotional safety, and opportunities to develop empathy, responsibility, and self-awareness. Especially in times of emotional distress, animals can be soothing, grounding, and healing companions.
My professional path first led me to a preschool, and later to a youth rehabilitation center. During this time, I was reminded again and again of the healing power that animals had during my own youth. In 2014 I decided to combine my professional work with my conviction that humans need animals—and began a certified training in animal-assisted education.

Since then, I have been guiding children, teenagers, and adults in creating mindful and healing connections with animals. Whether it’s building trust, developing emotional resilience, or simply finding peace—animals can open doors that remain closed to words.
