When I picked Timber up, he was 12 weeks old. On the way home I promised – “I’ll do my very best for you”. Timber should have a purpose in life and he sure did. For 8 years he assisted me in my work as a pedagogue. Together as a ‘professional human-dog team’ we offered animal assisted services for all ages, with specialization children, elderly and those with disabilities. We worked in (pre)schools, hospice, rehab, hospitals, intensive care facilities and provided physical and mental health as well as trauma work and educational opportunities. If you work professionally with a dog, positive reinforcement and connection is the focus for a healthy work/life balance. In 2025 Timber will turn 11 and has been in retirement since 2022 when we moved from Germany to North Carolina. Dogs have accompanied me my whole life and I experienced that they love to be part of our lives and serve us in our needs. If we try to serve them in their needs too, we can develop a strong and healing relationship to each other.
Our offer now is to support you to make the best out of your pet-relationship.
